摘要

       全世界的園藝花卉中，蘭花獨冠群芳，深受高雅人士所喜愛，當外國的各式珍美洋蘭不斷引進之際，其實台灣的森林內也深藏著各式各類的蘭花；台灣位於亞熱帶，正是蘭花生長最繁盛的地域，加上台灣的地形錯綜複雜，從海濱一直爬升到將近四千公尺的海拔高度，這其間山地包括了熱帶、亞 熱帶、溫帶和亞寒帶，使得台灣的蘭花種類包括了熱帶及溫帶的各類組成份子；台灣雖然是個小島，卻是一個蘭花多樣性很高的地區。本次演講內容，將挑選較吸睛的種類跟大家介紹它的生態及相關有趣的故事，讓大家更進一步的認識這些美麗的台灣野生蘭。

Abstract
Orchids have beauty that surpasses all of the other ornamental flowers
throughout the world, making them adored dearly by people with refined taste. While
a wide variety of rare and gorgeous orchids are constantly introduced into Taiwan, we
should know that our Island houses an assortment of orchids in its forests. Situated in
the subtropics, Taiwan is the region favoring the lush growth of orchids. Its complex
landforms cover seashores and mountains which is close to 4,000 meters. As the
mountains span the tropical, subtropical, temperate and sub-frigid zones, Taiwan’s
orchid species also have the characteristics of tropical and temperate regions. In spite
of its unimpressive size, Taiwan boasts quite a high diversity of orchids. In this talk, to
enable more people to learn more about these wonderful wild orchids of Taiwan, I will
pick some fascinating species and share with you their ecology and interesting stories.
