PRELIMINARY STUDY OF FARM IMPLEMENTS USED IN VIETNAM - 農業知識入口網

In modern agriculture, efficient uses of qualified seeds, adequate fertilizers, improved farm implements and proper plant protection are the effective means of increasing the crop yields. Especially in countries with large farm-holdings, mechanized farming is the most efficient and economical approach to boost their agricultural production.
In view of such needs, a resolution was passed in the first meeting of the Sino-Vietnamese Economic Cooperation Conference held in Saigon in December 1960 to recruit a Chinese farm machinery specialist as a consultant of the Chinese Technical Mission to Vietnam on Crop Improvement for a period of two and half months to conduct a survey of the farm implements in Vietnam and also to offer suggestions for the improvement of such implements.
