TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGES AND AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF TAIWAN, 1946-1965 - 農業知識入口網

The purpose of this study is to examine Taiwan\'s agricultural developmentwith the emphasis of technological progress after World War II, 1946-1965 period. It includes a study of the growth of agricultural output as well aschanges in input combinations and in factor productivity. Increase due to theaccumulation of conventional inputs, i.e., land, labor and capital as well as theresidual attributable to technological change or other factors are also estimatedstatistically. Although this study deals mainly with the agricultural developmentafter World War II, a brief review will be also sketched for the agriculturaldevelopment of Taiwan before the war.
