This is the report of a project, "Investigation of Farm Implements in Taiwan" initiated and financed by the Joint Commission on Rural Reconstruction (JCRR) in 1952 (JCRR project code number: TW-A-235) and carried out during 1952 and 1953. The fleldsurvey was carried out by members of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, National Taiwan University. The local farmers\' assoCiations, and sugarcane plantations operated by Taiwan Sugar Corporation and other interested individuals all contributed much to the success of this survey.
