The results demonstrated that polyphenolic compounds of Paochung tea were significantly affected by different plucking crops and varieties (lines). Significant correlations were found between agronomic characters and parts of polyphenolic compounds in young tea shoots. The agronomic characters of young tea shoots in large leaf type were significantly correlated to parts of polyphenolic compounds of derived Paochung tea.
